Emergency Room Visits & New Project

I spent this afternoon in the emergency room with my son. He came home from a friend's house after falling off the top bunk there. As soon as I saw his wrist, I knew it was broken. My husband and I rushed him up to the ER, and they x-rayed and confirmed my suspicion. It isn't a serious break, and he should be fine as long as he keeps the splint (and eventually cast) on and takes it easy. Still, it is the first ER-worthy injury any of my children have had, and my stomach was in knots for most of the day.

On a good note, I'm working on a new art project, a post-apocalyptic photo manipulation that my son posed for. I should probably have it done this week as long as there are no more major catastrophes.

The joys of kids huh? I've had to make several runs to the ER with both my girls. Jacy even had a 4 day stay once. Freaked the hell out of me. I think they enjoy scaring the hell out of us sometimes.

We've had a few runs to the ER for rotavirus and a severe ear infection, but this is the first broken bone. All in all, I think we've been pretty fortunate though.

ive done those the sinus infections ear infections bronchitis.. Jacy's stay was dual kidney infection when she was 5. No broken bones yet. although Jacy's got the glue stitches once after walkin into a metal pole when she was like 7... Nice scar now on her eyebrow

Sorry to hear about your son, but good at least that it's not a serious break

So sorry to hear about your son's accident. Still I am glad it turned out to be a break that will heal easily and not some kind of compound fracture.
