My flu symptoms are finally almost gone. I don't have my energy back, but I'm sleeping better because I can breathe through my nose again.

I've seen a lot of journals about the new year, and I just wanted to add in that I hope 2009 is better than 2008. I have to admit that 2008 was a trying year for me and mine, and I'm hoping to move past all that. I have a lot of projects around our house that I want to finally get done. My husband is an infamous (to our friends and family anyway) procrastinator, and I believe it is going to take all of my own initiative to get him moving. A lot of the projects will take both of us or even the whole family. I'm hoping to make it as fun as possible, but it still comes down to getting off our butts and getting it done.

My youngest daughter has begged me for a print of My Secret Garden. I nearly cried. When I started the project, I really had no intention of making a print of it. I normally don't with photo manips (unless it is made with my own photos) since you generally have to go around requesting, notifying, etc, and I'm lazy. Anyway, I think I finally have all the requests sent out to those who need them. I'm hoping everyone approves since she is really excited about the prospect of being able to hang it in her room and show it to her friends. I have to admit that the fact she thinks something that I made worthy of bragging to friends about is a serious boost to my ego.
