Artist's Comments

My first vector attempt ^^; I used a free stock photo from stock.xchng as a photo reference to help with the tree.

Stunning, just how did you do the vector, what software? It's superb and very effective. :)

Thank you

I'm learning how to use Microsoft Expression (a true vector program :D) but this was done with the pen tool in Photoshop.

Very cool and thanks.
The reason I asked is I'm getting more and more interested in the dramatic look this particular form gives. Beautifully demonstrated I may say in this piece and I just sort of fancy having a go at it sometime. :)

I agree, it can be a very dramatic artform :) Microsoft Expression is free to download, so if you are interested in seeing what a vector based program can do, that might be the place to start ;) or if you are just looking to create the vector look, the Photoshop pen tool worked well for me. I'm sure true vector artists would be horrified though :D

Thank you, my friend  I'm glad you like it :D

I might give the expression a go just to see if I can make it do something but I'm non too clever at the old drawing thing. Thanks for the info.

The tree and sky almost look like a photograph! Just the sun stands out as different. :D
