Artist's Comments

This is our second little rescued wild rabbit, Jack. You can see Baby Pete here [link] to also get the full story.

You can't see how tiny he is in this shot, but I thought it was still sweet. I'm going to try again soon so you can see how small he really is. He has taken to my husband (who is the one feeding him :) ) so I'm hoping to capture something with them together.

It's just a weeny rabbit head without a body! How sweet and interesting! Reminds me (colour and white background) of a sketch done by Albrecht Durer. :)

I just don't think they get any cuter than this.

So little!
Looks like the sort of rabbit they mould chocolate bunnies off. :D

Wow, he's just as cute as Pete. You're so kind for taking in these poor creatures :aww:

Well, I feel responsible. It was my cat who took tried to eat them. I understand that predators need to eat, but our cats are not the natural predators of this ecosystem. They were introduced here by us, so it's our responsibility to make their impact on the local environment as little as possible. Sounds kinda preachy, eh? :) but that's really how I feel. This way, these little guys can grow up and then make some hawk or other wild animal a fat meal, as it is supposed to be.

Thanks for looking and commenting

Thats so true its not even funny XD Cats aren't natural to this environment, so they shouldn't affect it too much. Very nicely said. And of course, you're welcome for the comment :aww:
